Kings Heath Village Square - A Birmingham Gem!

Kings Heath Village Square is near All Saints Church in Kings Heath at the Vicarage Road and High Street junction.

Kings Heath Village Square was developed out of the churchyard of All Saints Church in Kings Heath and was opened in October 2011. Close to the junction of Vicarage Road and High Street in Kings Heath. There is a Farmers Market about once a month in the square on the first Saturday of the month. Close to the bus stops for the 11A, 11C, 76, 35 and the 50. It was an unusual experiment in urban planning. It's a bit like an old village green. Many events takes place in the square.

The 50 in Kings Heath Village Square

On Saturday 18th April 2015, National Express West Midlands unveiled their then new fleet of buses to be used on the 50 bus route (from Druids Heath to the City Centre, via Kings Heath and Moseley). These were used on the 50 until 2019 when the new Platinum buses were introduced (from December 2018). They were transferred from Yardley Wood Bus Garage to Acocks Green Bus Garage and have been rebranded and are now in use on the 11A and 11C around the Outer Circle (since January 2019).
